What It's All About...

Hey Everyone!
Thanks for checking out my page.

I was contacted by Ron from Thermolife International at the start of the year. He needed a female spokesmodel to represent Thermolife. He prefered someone in Dallas because his male spokesmodel (Sagi) resides in Dallas.

It was a tough start and I put it on the backburner for a couple of months (was couple months preggo). I stayed in touch with Ron and told him the truth about my situation and how I'd LOVE to join Thermolife, but couldn't with baby on the way.

I remember thinking, 'I don't want to pass this up, seems like such a cool company to work for.' It wasn't definite on the pregnancy (past problems) until a couple wks into January.

Ron was great! He said he totally understood and to have no worries. Thought that would be the end of that, but it wasn't. He sent me a beautiful bouquet of flowers and said he'd still use a past image for a current ad! He said, "Welcome to the team!" How cool is that? Being in the modeling industry for long enough I've learned people don't want something for nothing, so what gives? Nothing! There really are just genuinely nice people.

Well, I lost the baby. Sad, but I guess things happen for a reason (like I'm NOT mommy material at this stage in life! lol) Being that I was staying in touch with Ron, he knew what was going on. I told him I would still love to represent, but I had to have surgery and get over the emotional part of it all. Needless to say, the last thing on my mind at that moment was the gym! ;-)

Ron said, "cool, no problem....take your time." Ne never bugged me or said, "WTF, what's taking so long?" So....about 2 months later I said, "Lets do this!"

He agreed and said first thing's first...I meet with Sagi. Oh shit, I thought. Maybe the truth and a lot of the reason for the hesitation should come out right about NOW!

"Well Ron, you see, I don't look exactly like I do in those pictures" I've had my fun the last year or so and that involved a lot of wine and not much working out. To say I was fat wouldn't be true, but I sure as hell wasn't toned and to lose 10 pounds wouldn't hurt a girl. lol.

I thought at that moment he'd write me off and go get a model he could use NOW, not to mention the 3 months of him already waiting on me. Nope! He thought it even better. He said with Thermolife products and Sagi kicking my ass I'd be good to go in a couple of months. Then he said to get to it and go meet up with Sagi.

I did. April 8, 2008. (I had 2 wks on my own before meeting up and started hitting the gym HARD!) Little did I know that I wasn't doing much right. I lost a couple of pounds, but I could achieve the same results I did with 3 hrs a day in the gym with more effective exercise in half the time.

I hate cardio! That's an understatement...I dispise cardio! lol. I told Sagi this first thing thinking he'd say, "get off your lazy ass and do it," but quite the opposite. He said, "Ok, you won't even need it with the right workout." Sign me up! Then again I was sweating my ass off at the end of the warm-up thinking, 'ok, maybe cardio isn't all THAT bad.' Ha.

That brings me to now....that's why I'm posting this blog. I want to get my kickass body back and be ready to shoot standing next to Sagi (oh boy!) ASAP!

I want you to join me in my journey to perfection (I believe there is a such thing) and track my progress. I'm going to update my blog and pix often. Not to mention video progress! None of that hiding behond photoshop. Yikes!

Are you ready? I am!
